The exact start and end times
Roblox's newsroom announcement gives the clearest schedule: the hub opened at 2 p.m. PT on October 22, with Plus subscribers able to enter at noon PT. The live finale is scheduled for the morning of October 31, and players can keep collecting rewards until noon PT on November 2.
| Milestone | When | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Plus early access | Oct 22, 12 p.m. PT | Plus subscribers can enter the hub two hours before the public opening. |
| Public opening | Oct 22, 2 p.m. PT | The Hollow opens to standard Roblox accounts. |
| Nightly floors | Oct 22 – Oct 31 | A new monster and theater floor arrive each night; older floors stay open. |
| Live finale | Morning of Oct 31 | The final night's content and the Piggy crossover arrive with the finale. |
| Reward deadline | Nov 2, 12 p.m. PT | Claim earned badges, UGC, and tickets before this time. |
IGN's overview page uses an October 23 to October 31 range, which conflicts with the official October 22 opening and November 2 reward deadline. This guide follows the Roblox announcement for the event window and uses IGN only for gameplay detail.
What you actually do in the hub
The hub is a ruined movie theater. The main floor holds the shop, the portal area, and the elevator. Each nightly floor is a randomized maze with a relic puzzle. Completing the floor's puzzle and returning the relic to the elevator awards that floor's UGC.
- Little Shop of Terror: spend tickets on utility items and daily avatar cosmetics.
- Game portals: teleport into the nine headline games, plus the wider set of connected experiences.
- Elevator: choose an unlocked theater floor. Floors stay available after their debut night.
- Pedestals: claim quest UGC after earning the matching badge in a participating game.
- Ghost launchers: catch shoulder pets fired by Plus subscribers, developers, admins, or Video Stars.
The basic loop is: clear a floor, run a connected game's event quest, claim the badge, then spend tickets in the shop. You do not have to finish everything on the night it unlocks. The practical deadline is the November 2 reward cutoff.
The nine headline games and their monsters
Roblox officially named nine headline horror games. The day order below is the order reported by Timesaver and GamesRadar; the official announcement confirms the nine pairings but does not publish a numbered schedule.
| Night | Game | Monster |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | DOORS | Seek |
| 2 | Dandy's World | Twisted Dandy |
| 3 | Demonology | Biter |
| 4 | 99 Nights in the Forest | The Deer |
| 5 | The Mimic | Hiachi |
| 6 | Animal Hospital | Mimic |
| 7 | Scary Shawarma Kiosk | The Inspector |
| 8 | WARDEN | The Overseer |
| 9 | Piggy | Piggy |
Each headline game has its own event quest, a hub pedestal, a free UGC item, and a 10-ticket payout. The related pages linked above cover the actual quest steps.
Three groups, three reward rules
Community trackers split the participating experiences into three groups. The split matters because the payout and the claim location differ.
| Group | Count | Payout | Reward item |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nightly Haunts | 9 | 10 tickets | Yes, claimed at the game's hub pedestal |
| Roaming The Hollow | 9 | 10 tickets | Yes, but the pedestal and portal are hidden inside theater floors |
| The Outskirts | 26 | 20 tickets, plus 20 more on its featured day | No UGC; tickets only |
Community counts disagree because the hub's counter lists Fisch twice. The Roblox Wiki says 45 games, while 9 + 9 + 26 gives 44 unique experiences. Treat 44 as the useful planning count and expect the duplicate row.
The full list, including the 26 Outskirts games and the known reward objectives, is on the all games page. Ticket math and shop prices are on the tickets page.
What changes after the finale
The nightly schedule ends with the October 31 finale, but the reward window does not close at the same moment. You can still enter the hub and claim rewards until noon PT on November 2. Use that window to finish older floors, claim unopened pedestals, and spend leftover tickets.
- Roblox says Plus subscribers keep The Hollow app theme after the finale.
- The official announcement does not say whether non-Plus players keep the theme, so that point remains unconfirmed.
- The shop is a limited-time event shop. Buy the cosmetics you want before the reward window closes; later restocks and Limited transitions are not guaranteed.
- A completed game quest still counts. If you finished it before its featured day, return to the hub on that day to collect the extra Outskirts tickets.
The theme has its own page with the confirmed Plus retention and the unconfirmed non-Plus outcome: The Hollow Roblox theme.
Do you need Roblox Plus or a paid pass?
Roblox describes the event as available to Roblox accounts, aimed at ages 9 and older in most regions. The official announcement names Roblox Select and standard Roblox accounts and does not present Plus as an entry requirement. Access and age rules can vary by region and account.
Plus is optional. It added two-hour early access, an exclusive profile frame and background, a ghost launcher, Plus-only shop items, and theme retention after the finale. The free floors and standard game quests are separate from those benefits.
A sensible first run
Start with the floors because they give guaranteed UGC and do not depend on a group. Floor 1 takes a handful of minutes once you learn the maze pattern; later floors add a new puzzle mechanic.
- Clear the open theater floors and claim each relic reward at the elevator.
- Pick one or two short game quests. DOORS, Flee the Facility, and AOONI Nightmare are more contained than a full 99 Nights run.
- Return to the hub, claim the badge popup, then interact with the game's pedestal.
- Spend tickets on the utility item you will actually use, then save for the daily cosmetic you want.
- Check the hub once a day for a featured Outskirts bonus and new shop stock.
The floor puzzle guide covers all nine floors, and the items page separates free rewards from paid Marketplace items.
Frequently asked questions
Is The Hollow free to play?
Yes. The event hub and the participating game quests are free with a Roblox account. Roblox Plus adds early access and cosmetic extras but is not required for the standard floors or quests.
When does The Hollow end?
The nightly schedule ends with the October 31 finale. Rewards remain claimable until noon PT on November 2, 2026.
Can I still complete older floors after their night?
Yes. Community guides and the in-game structure describe the older floors as staying open, so a late start does not lock you out of earlier relics.
How many games are in The Hollow?
The hub lists 44 unique experiences: 9 Nightly Haunts, 9 Roaming The Hollow games, and 26 Outskirts games. The counter duplicates Fisch, which is why some community counts say 45.
Is The Hollow the same as The Haunt?
No. The Haunt was Roblox's 2024 Halloween event. The Hollow is the 2026 event with a theater hub, nightly monster floors, and connected game quests.
