Start the Candy Vault
There are two ways in. Use the DOORS portal in The Hollow hub, or open DOORS directly, host a game, and select the Candy Vault mode. The hub route keeps the reward claim close, so it is the simpler choice for a first run.
The mode supports up to five players. A group makes Abe management easier, but the first mansion phase is solo-friendly.
Explore the mansion before the vault
Open drawers throughout the mansion to find candy and keys. Candy effects are not labeled, and eating an unknown candy can hurt you. Keys open special doors and can lead to extra supplies.
When the mansion phase ends, open the vault. The opening is a three-part quick-time event. Completing it starts a cutscene with Abe and a 20-minute countdown.
Survive the Candy Vault descent
Each vault floor has a map and glowing cauldrons. The goal is to eat as much candy as possible before you leave the floor. If a candy is unknown or risky, throw it into a cauldron; the cauldron still counts it toward your total.
- Abe: he follows the group. Someone should keep him in view and scare him away before he reaches the back line.
- Other entities: each floor has its own threat. Use the map and avoid open sightlines.
- Skeleton Key: opens extra locked doors for additional rewards. A solo strategy is to upgrade a Skeleton Key with Star Bite candy and duplicate it with Pocket Mirror or Duplication candy.
- End of the vault: a final cauldron removes the candy you still carry. Exit after the estate explodes.
The community wiki suggests reaching the door-50 area with at least two minutes left if you want to loot every vault door. That is a time-budget tip, not a separate completion requirement.
Claim the All-Seeking Antlers
After the Candy Vault ends, return to The Hollow hub. Walk to the DOORS portal you used and interact with the postal sign outside it. That is the badge and UGC claim point.
The reward is the All-Seeking Antlers plus 10 tickets. If the postal sign does not respond, confirm that the Candy Vault badge is on your account and that you are at the DOORS portal rather than a different game's pedestal.
Why guides disagree on the completion condition
Three descriptions circulate: complete The Estate map, get through door 50, or reach the bottom floor and escape. They describe different points in the same run. IGN's 20-minute descent and final escape is the most complete operational description; the Estate and door-50 lines are shorter summaries.
Use the in-game objective panel as the final authority. If it shows the Estate map as incomplete after you escape, return to the hub and check the badge before replaying.
Frequently asked questions
How long is the DOORS Candy Vault?
The descent has a 20-minute timer that starts after the three-part vault opening. The mansion exploration before that is not part of the countdown.
What should I do with unknown candy?
Throw it into a glowing cauldron. The cauldron counts the candy toward your total without making you eat it.
How do I deal with Abe?
Keep him in view and scare him away before he reaches the group. Assign one player to watch him while the others handle the floor's other entities.
Where do I claim the All-Seeking Antlers?
At the postal sign outside the DOORS portal in The Hollow hub, after completing the Candy Vault.
Does the DOORS quest give tickets?
Yes. It pays 10 tickets and the All-Seeking Antlers UGC.
