What is live on Day 3
| Task | Where | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Floor 3 graveyard puzzle | The Hollow theater elevator | Festering Felix |
| Demonology quest | Demonology's Somewhere Else | Biter Fedora |
| Dead Rails side quest | Dead Rails | Cowboy Hat of the Dead |
The two main tasks do not depend on each other. You can do the floor first, then Demonology, or reverse the order. Older floors stay open after their debut, so a late start does not lock you out before the November 2 reward deadline.
Floor 3: the graveyard puzzle
Take the elevator to Floor 3 and follow the right side of the maze until you reach a graveyard room. The room has a riddle and several tombstones with names, symbols, and birth/death years.
- Read the riddleThe riddle asks for the three people who lived the shortest lives, then tells you to set them small to tall.
- Check every tombstoneSubtract the birth year from the death year, or compare the listed lifespan. Write down each symbol with its age.
- Pick the three shortestChoose the three smallest lifespans. Sort those three from shortest to longest.
- Enter the symbolsPress M if your mouse is locked, turn the three Grave Lock dials to the matching symbols, then press Open.
- Carry the relic backTake the relic to the elevator and return to the hub. The Festering Felix is awarded on completion.
The code is different for each player. The dedicated Floor 3 puzzle solution explains the calculation and why copying a screenshot usually fails.
Demonology: collect six relics and escape
Enter Demonology from the hub, then use the Hollow button in the top-right corner to start the event mode. You are sent to Somewhere Else, a black-and-white village with a compass at the top of the screen.
The compass shows relics as red dots. Pick up one relic at a time and carry it back to the altar. A monster hunts you; hide in a wardrobe to break the chase. If it catches you, you drop the relic and must pick it up again.
| Relic | Where to find it | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Devil Mirror | East road | Chase the mirror until it stops on the last pedestal |
| Altar Lantern | Middle of the square | Light the three lamp posts with Spectral Fire |
| Grimoire | West road | Read and follow the signs in order |
| Stygian Hourglass | Around the square | Stand inside the highlighted ring |
| Cursed Lock | Park gate | Find the lockpick, often in the mailbox in front |
| Skull of the Abseer | Graveyard | Pick up the shovel and dig at the marked grave |
Bring all six to the altar to start the ritual. Finish the ritual, go through the portal, and return to the Demonology lobby. Then go back to The Hollow and claim the Biter Fedora at the Demonology pedestal.
Dead Rails side quest on the same night
The Day 3 side quest is Dead Rails. Find the black stain near spawn, take the key, unlock the portal, and ride the train to the Phantom Conductor. The reward is the Cowboy Hat of the Dead.
The black stain's position changes, so search the walls around spawn rather than following a fixed map. The Dead Rails quest page covers the train sequence and the reward claim.
Claiming the Day 3 rewards
- Festering Felix: return the Floor 3 relic to the elevator. The badge and UGC are awarded on completion.
- Biter Fedora: finish the Demonology ritual, return to the hub, confirm the badge popup for 10 tickets, then use the Demonology pedestal.
- Cowboy Hat of the Dead: finish Dead Rails and find its Roaming pedestal inside the theater floors.
If a pedestal does not respond, check that the matching badge is actually on your account. The ticket popup and the UGC pedestal are separate interactions.
What to finish before Day 4
There is no need to finish Day 3 on October 24. The floors remain open and the reward window runs to November 2. A practical order is Floor 3 first for the guaranteed item, then Demonology if you have time for a full relic run, then Dead Rails as an optional side quest.
If you are short on time, skip Dead Rails. It pays a UGC and 10 tickets but is not required for either Day 3 headline reward.
Frequently asked questions
What are the Day 3 rewards?
Festering Felix from the Floor 3 puzzle, Biter Fedora from Demonology, and Cowboy Hat of the Dead from the Dead Rails side quest.
Is the Floor 3 code fixed?
No. The correct symbols depend on the gravestones in your run. Read the ages, pick the three shortest lives, then enter their symbols from shortest to longest.
Can I do Day 3 after Day 4 starts?
Yes. Older floors and game quests remain available until the event's reward window closes at noon PT on November 2.
Do I need to do Dead Rails for the Biter Fedora?
No. Dead Rails is a separate Roaming side quest with its own reward. The Biter Fedora only needs the Demonology ritual.
